S-I-X

Me: Tucker, you have to eat 10 more bites to be finished.
Tucker: But I already ate (counting on his fingers)...FOUR!
Me: Is four ten?
Tucker: No. How many more bites do I have?
Me: Let's count to see how many more.
Tyson: Mom, it's six more bites.
Me: Very good Tyson, but I was trying to help Tucker learn.
Tucker: How many bites is six?
Me: Well, six. One, two, three, four, five, SIX.
Tucker: But how many bites?
Me: Six.
Tucker: How many is six?
Me: Six. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.
Tyson: Are you kidding me?!
Me: {giving Tyson an evil eye}
Tucker: But how many is six?
Me:  It's gonna be a long night.

We have similar conversations about letters. "How do you spell this?" (holding up the letter A)..."A"..."okay, but how do you spell it?"..."It's an a, you don't spell it, it's a letter"..."I know Mom, but can you just tell me how to spell it?!?!"
