Hello Monday. When did you get here? But seriously, the weekend went waaaay too quickly.

Hello laundry. Never-stinkin-ending-laundry.

Hello school supply shopping.

Hello spending two hours in the grocery store.

Hello cleaning out the fridge.

Hello celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday this evening at a yummy restaurant!

One of my good friends had a baby shower yesterday.

It was so fun.

I was a hostess and to be honest, I totally don't feel like I'm old enough to be a hostess for a shower.

Seriously.

Wasn't it just yesterday that I was going to showers with my mom,

trying my darndest to look older and "fit in?"

But this shower totally made me want to want down memory lane.

To be young again!

Padre's Birthday Weekend

My father's (Padre) birthday was on Friday.

My sister's and their kids came into town to celebrate.

It was a fantastic weekend!

We swam.

And ate.

And swam.

And ate.

And played.

And shot off a few fireworks.

Marvelous.

And of course showered my Padre with love.

Happy Birthday Padre!

Because I cry and the boys like to exploit that

Tucker: Mommy are you going to cry when I am a teenager?
Me: I'm sure I will at some point.
Tucker: But are you going to cry because I am so old.
Me: Probably.
Tucker: But are you going to cry because I am so old and won't be your little baby anymore?
Me: Yes, I will cry that you are so old but you will always be my little baby.
Tucker: But are you going to cry since I have to go to Home Depot and buy wood to make a bigger bed?
Me: I'm not sure that you will have to make your own bed. I'm pretty sure we'll buy one for you.
Tucker: But will you cry?
Me: Sure. I'll cry.
Tucker: Because I'm your baby and that makes you so sad.
