Hey. Hello there. How are 'ya?
If you didn't already know, today is Friday.
Good Friday to be exact.
Which means that the kids are out of school.
And it also means that we are that much closer to celebrating our risen Lord!
Hallelujah!
I love, love, love Easter.
For all that it means and stand for.
Plus it's really cute to dress the boys in matching spring outfits (a hardship these days as they get bigger and grow opinions on what they should be wearing).
But that's all to come this weekend.

We take shooting seriously and feel it's important to teach the boys gun safety NOW. Plus I feel much better when Stuart's out of town knowing I can defend my family.

Thankful Thursday

Some days I just feel like EVERYTHING is a God send (well, I mean everything IS from God). 

And some days I'm totally "woe is me."

The last few days were the latter.

I was frustrated with Stuart. 

I was anxious about our weekend.

I was bemoaning plans.

Then Stuart's grandfather (a.k.a Grandpa) fell and shattered the end of his humerus.

Yesterday was spent going to the ER and frantically trying to find an Orthopedic Surgeon that could see them.

They did.

He's having surgery on Thursday.

Can y'all say a prayer for him?

So today I am thankful for Grandma and Grandpa.

It's so hard for me to put into words how wonderful these two people are.

They're the kind of people that make you feel wonderful no matter what.

Grandma ALWAYS has something nice to say and usually has cookies or bread made for you to snack on.

Grandpa loves to regale you with stories from the motor pool or Oklahoma.

Their house is the most inviting place and you can spend hours there in a matter of minutes.

They fiercly love their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and those that have been added via marriage (like me!).

Grandma and Grandpa are such a testament of a Godly marriage.

I am so proud to have them in my life.

Thank you Lord for blessing me with Grandma and Grandpa.

What I Want to Wear Wednesday

Y'all, this weather is about to make me loose my already lost mind.

I'll be the first to admit that I prefer cold to hot.

Laying clothes, fun scarfs, boots-I'll take that over shorts and bathing suits any day.

But somehow Texas did not get the memo that it us spring.

Y'all, I have finished scanning all the boy's schoolwork.

Not what you were expecting?

You have no idea what this means to me. 

I only started scanning everything, oh, over a year ago.

And for months and months I have just been adding all their papers into a big bag (then adding more bags and finally buying a huge bin to put all the bags in).

Ever so often I would look at the every growing pile of recyclables and throw a few on the scanner. 

I felt good and would vow to finish it over the following days.

Needless to say that didn't happen.

Then yesterday, I just had enough. 

I pulled out the bin and started making piles.

And pulling out staples.

And scanning.

And today?

At 2:08 pm, I FINISHED.

Now, I just need to stay on top of it when new papers come in.

So how has your week gone?
For some reason I really can't remember anything that we did this week.
I guess that's a good thing, no?

I have lots of freckles (even more in the summer) and green eyes.

I can't express enough how much Tucker loves Hannah. If we arrive at the same time, this is how they walk in-EVERY time. He also gives her a hug and kiss (on the cheek) everyday when he says goodbye.

My new Thirty-One bags. Yay!

I can barely contain my excitement for this. Y'all...it's gonna be good. :)

What I WANT to Wear Wednesday

One of the blogs that I follow does a "What I Wore Wednesday" post.

I love reading what other people put together.

I am the first to admit that I have a lack luster fashion sense.

But I WANT to be more fashionable.

Enter Polyvore.

Never heard of it?

I first found Polyvore via Pinterest (surprise, surprise).

Essentially it's a website that allows you to create styling boards or collages.

These can be clothing, home decoration, words, images, whatever.

At first I was really nervous to create a board.

I don't know how to dress myself, let alone create something that would look "good."

But it's fun!

And allows me to just try things out.
